 So I have 16 books in my TBR but guess what! I haven't started reading any of them because I felt the need to reread A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas. It's been a couple of years and I didn't realize how much I had forgotten 😅Love me some Inner Circle drama!

  So Celaena did it, she won the king's contest and so became the king's champion, or royal assassin. The King of Adarlan is an evil man and wields his power to intimidate. Scaring his court and his people into compliance. Those who supposedly rebel against him will find Celaena's dagger to their throats. Well, that's what the king believes anyway. Celaena is not as loyal to the crown as she pretends to be. A secret she hides from her closest allies. Trying to keep her secret becomes more deadly however when she comes across a true rebellion against the crown. Will she stomp it out before it becomes a threat? Or join with them to help destroy the dark king of Adarlan and the tyranny he beholds.   The book started slow and was a bit confusing the first couple of chapters. I didn't like how they introduced the characters or wasn't even sure who the main characters were going to be, I did finally get into it and am now on book 3!
