Book Review: A Song of Sky and Sacrifice by Lana Pecherczyk

A Song of Sky and Sacrifice is book one in the Season of the Elf. The blurb from Goodreads "When famous human musician Melody wakes two thousand years after a nuclear winter, she thinks she’s landed on the right side of a war. Fae are called the Tainted. They’re warped, mutated creatures who horde the bounty of the new magical land. It’s her job in the human city to sling propaganda in the form of daily songs performed to a select tower of elite."
Another excellent book in The Fae Guardians from Lana. I really do enjoy these books and they are fast reads. Melody's character in this is amazing! She is strong and fierce while being insecure in her skin. Realizing how she was before the freeze and how she was treated and forced to do things after she woke up makes for an entertaining storyline. She is a character that I instantly fell in love with. Her counterpart and mate in this story though River was a little boring. I feel like he could have developed better than he was. I just wanted to see him unleash himself and it never really happened. There was one really good spicy scene in the book that unfortunately gets interrupted, then later on in the book that was meh. I'm giving this book ✯✯✯✯ stars because it kept my interest and I can't wait to read the next!
