  In the second installment of The Court of Thorns and Roses series The Court of Mist and Fury, we find Feyre safely deposited back into the Spring Court with Tamlin. Unfortunately, Feyre is not the same person she was before the cruelty of Amarantha. Feyre is broken and mentally tormented from the memories and nightmares that affected her under the mountain. Tamlin and Feyre are engaged to be married, something she should be looking forward to, but that is not the case, she feels trapped and dreads the pact and debt she owes Rhysand for saving her life will eventually be called in. Though Feyre now has the powers of the high fae her heart is still human, and she cannot forget the terrible things she had to do to free Tamlin’s people. Feyre has to face some hard truths to become the leader she is meant to be. A change of scenery and friends for Feyre is needed for her to come out of her shell and on the road to recovery. This was a great book, I ended up being very disappointed in Taml

  Wizard’s First Rule is the first installment in the Sword of Truth series by the late Terry Goodkind. I can say with confidence that this book was got me hooked into reading fantasy novels. The main character in Wizard’s First Rule and the Sword of Truth series is Richard Cypher. He is a tracker, guide, and woodsman in the forest of Westland. His world starts to change with the discovery of a strange and menacing weed he has never seen before in Westland. Then with the appearance of a beautiful and mysterious woman named Kahlan Anmell being pursued by assassins. Richard takes Kahlan to meet his “grandfather” Zedd, an eccentric old man that lives by himself in the forest whom has taught Richard all that he knows. Hoping that Zedd can point Kahlan in the right direction Richard comes to find out some hard truths and that he is in fact the Seeker of Truth. He will wield the Sword of Truth and travel beyond the border of Westland with Kahlan to find out who he truly is and stop the evil

  The world had been waiting for a very long time for a queen. A queen to heal that lands and punish those who selfishly ruled for so long. It was prophesized 700 hundred years ago by a black jeweled widow witch in her tangled web that a queen would come. This witch would wield more power than even the High Lord of Hell, and give him major headaches as well! The only thing is, she is young, and if she were to end up in the wrong hands, say a corrupted queen. She could be influenced to spread evil herself.

  So Celaena did it, she won the king's contest and so became the king's champion, or royal assassin. The King of Adarlan is an evil man and wields his power to intimidate. Scaring his court and his people into compliance. Those who supposedly rebel against him will find Celaena's dagger to their throats. Well, that's what the king believes anyway. Celaena is not as loyal to the crown as she pretends to be. A secret she hides from her closest allies. Trying to keep her secret becomes more deadly however when she comes across a true rebellion against the crown. Will she stomp it out before it becomes a threat? Or join with them to help destroy the dark king of Adarlan and the tyranny he beholds. Are her relationships strong enough to handle the secrets she must keep, or will they crumble apart at her fingertips? She is not the only one keeping secrets it seems, and to keep the secrets of others safe she has to face threat after threat. Will magic keep her and her friends

  The book started slow and was a bit confusing the first couple of chapters. I didn't like how they introduced the characters or wasn't even sure who the main characters were going to be, I did finally get into it and am now on book 3!
